Well I have to say that not a lot appears to have happened since my first post, but I may have found someone to make my deck - will know next week, and we've done a little more pointing on the patio. My it's a slow old job that one, but we've sped things up a little - hubby bought me my own pointing trowel (a spoon just didn't cut the mustard in pointing terms)! so I've been helping by stuffing the holes whilst he does the artistic/skillful part of finishing. This system seemed to work quite well. Of course if I didn't work there'd be more time to get on with it all - mind you, if I didn't work there wouldn't have been any money to buy the materials! hey ho
